Empower. Engage. Enact.
We aim to empower youth, engage them in the fight for nuclear disarmament, and provide them with the tools, knowledge, and platform to enact change.
Media Release.
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights has issued a media release for the 4th Youth Nuclear Peace Summit. Copies in both official languages can be found below.
Our Journey.
Established in 2019, the Youth Nuclear Peace Summit rapidly emerged as a pivotal platform for youth-driven and youth-led dialogue on nuclear disarmament.
Our highlights include:
Empowering students who have participated in globally-recognized events, such as the First (& Second!) Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Vienna & New York, the ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum in Vienna, the G7 Youth Summit in Hiroshima, and most recently, the Youth-Parliament Summit in Ottawa in 2023.
Cultivating leaders who have been accepted into programs like the Hiroshima-ICAN Academy on Nuclear Weapons and Global Security.
Achieving recognition such as student nominations for the Arms Control Association's Arms Control Person(s) of the Year Awards (2021).
Facilitating the creation of a Youth Nuclear Peace Treaty in 2019, signed and endorsed by our participants.
Inspiring students to lead their own Nuclear Ban Week in their high schools.
As a participant, you'll be joining an influential network of youth leaders and peace-builders, and who knows? Your accomplishments could be our next highlight.
Empower, Engage, Enact — the possibilities are limitless!
